1942 Prewar model
I purchased from a Gene Autry memorabilia collector who had purchased from the Original Owner. With Original case. Case has some wear to edge (pictured).
Four inlaid Mother of Pearl Position Dots on Fret Board which were deleted when production started again in 1945. Celluloid binding around top edge and sound hole, Spruce top and Maple sides. Ebonized fret board with 18 frets (12 clear of the body). Straight neck with 1/8″ from string to 12th fret. “F 42″ stamped inside seen through sound hole. Standard Size 36″ x 13” Guitar is very close to ‘Like New’. No noticeable flaws.
