Description
Very Rare Howdy Doody General Store sold only by mail order in the 1950’s. After assembly, the corrugated cardboard “Store’ is made for a child to sit inside and offer products displayed on the shelves inside. Approx. 50″ high, 34″ wide, and 20” deep. Colorful Pictures of Howdy and his Gang are all over the outside and a clock with movable hands out front. Also a place for the “Manager” to print their name. Even the box it was shipped in was used to make the bench the child sat on.
The condition as shown in the pictures shows wear primarily from being stored in an attic for years. I had it professionally cleaned as best as possible by an employee who has worked at the Ford Conservation Center in Omaha. It does not have all the merchandise, cash box, and play money that originally came with it. I have over $2500 in it, but it is a pretty rare piece. RARE TO FIND One That Is This Complete. The “Smoke Stack” is something I made and Not Original.
